LOZEN TECH PARK - AUDIENCE ON A NATIONAL LEVEL

Lozen Tech Park is operationally managed and fully integrated into the organizational and management structure of the Lindner Group in Bulgaria. On the 15^th of May an Advisory Board has been established representing the following functions:

To facilitate the process of attracting scientific, institutional, and business expertise, for the purpose of developing ideas, sharing experience, and implementing projects in the Lozen Tech Park
To provide cooperation with various cluster organizations such as BESCO, BRIGHT, BAIT, BASCOM, Association of Business Building Owners, BSK, etc.
To promote cooperation with business and employer organizations such as KRIB, BSK, BTPP, the Bulgarian-German Chamber, AMCHAM, etc.
To facilitate the cooperation with state and municipal institutions
To attract leading universities as part of the ecosystem
To initiate and participate in events, discussions, conferences, delegations’ visits, etc. on the territory of the park
To participate as a jury member in award ceremonies related to the park's activities
To adopt a program and budget for the park
To organize marketing, PR, and other related events

Rosen Plevneliev

President of the Republic of Bulgaria 2012 – 2017

Rosen Plevneliev is the fourth democratically elected president of Bulgaria.Born on May 14, 1964. Graduated from the Technical University in Sofia, majoring in informatics. He was an entrepreneur until 2009. Rosen Plevneliev entered politics in 2009 as Minister of Regional Development and Public Works. He introduced a new approach to the management of funds from the European Union, launched projects for the modernization of Bulgarian regions, developed a new long-term strategy for highway and road construction, and initiated a national program for energy efficiency. He was elected President of the Republic of Bulgaria in November 2011. He initiated the National Development Program "Bulgaria 2020" and the debate on "Bulgaria 2030". He sets long-term national priorities such as innovation, e-government, e-voting, modernization, connectivity, dual system of education, long-term state planning, energy efficiency, liberalization and diversification. He is the patron of the first innovation ecosystem and the first high-tech park in Bulgaria and the Balkans - Sofia Tech Park. He is the patron of the Information and Communication Technologies, Outsourcing and Automotive industries. He received great international recognition and was awarded the highest state honors of twenty countries, including Germany, France, Austria, Italy and others. He was elected Politician of the Year in Bulgaria in 2011 and 2012. He is the winner of the European Award for "Person of the Year in Southeast Europe" in 2015. He was awarded the "Person of the Year" award of Ukraine for 2015, for his public and political activity in European and international terms. He was honored with an award for special contribution to the IT industry from BAIT. He was honored with a special award for outstanding contribution to the development of the digital industry in Bulgaria by Webit.

Honorary Professor at the Institute of Emerging Markets of Peking University and at the Schwartzman College of Tsinghua University.

Prof. Dr. phil. Thomas Geiß is a Banking and Finance specialist, Еconomist, Master of Business Administration MBA. Since 2010, lecturer at universities in Eastern Bavaria on the topics of business start-ups and corporate management. Previously worked for 20 years as a banker and business economist advising and financing start-ups and young companies. Accredited coach for venture capital financing. Scientific director of the Lindner Foundation's Entrepreneur Academy and on the scientific advisory board of WEMID (value-oriented SMEs) e.V.

CEO at BESCO - The Bulgarian Entrepreneurial Association

Dobromir Ivanov is the Chief Executive Officer of BESCO - The Bulgarian Entrepreneurial Association - comprising over 500 Bulgarian companies. Over the past six years, BESCO has spearheaded a series of policy advocacy initiatives aimed at improving the country's economy, with the goal of making Bulgaria the top destination for entrepreneurs in Europe. Some of BESCO's main achievements are the acceptance of the Startup Visa and the Variable Capital Company as a legal entity.
