On 31.10.2024 at the University of National and World Economy, an open lecture was held on the topic "Technologies and innovations for sustainable development". The lecture was opened by Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov - Rector of UNWE. Participants in the lecture were Mr. Rosen Plevneliev - President of the Republic of Bulgaria 2012-2017 and Chairman of the Lozen Tech Park Advisory Board; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Georgi Hristov Ranchev – General Manager of "Lindner Immobilien Management" EOOD and "Lozen Tech Park" EOOD, Head of the "Financial Control" Department, UNSS, as well as Dobromir Ivanov - Executive Director of the Bulgarian Entrepreneurship Association and Member of the Advisory Board of Lozen Tech Park. The lecture marked the beginning of a contest organized by "Lozen Tech Park" EOOD in partnership with the UNWE and includes a prize fund with cash prizes.

The Rector of UNSS Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov expressed his admiration for similar projects that promote cooperation between universities and business. He appealed to the the students to take advantage of opportunities like this and wished them success in the contest.

Mr. Rosen Plevneliev emphasized that success is truly significant and sustainable when it is recognized as success by the next generations. He hinted that Europe is facing major reforms and Bulgaria can and should take advantage of this, taking a leading role in the field of technology and innovation. In this context, he defined «Lozen Tech Park» as the center of an ecosystem for cooperation between business, the academic community and the state.

Аssoc. Prof. Dr. Georgi Ranchev told more about "Lozen Tech Park", presenting the vision of the German investor "Lindner Group" for the project - a high-tech park of a new generation, an innovative complex, which will include 16 modern buildings with modern infrastructure, public spaces and service areas for work and creativity. "Lozen Tech Park" will be a platform for dialogue, exchange of ideas and knowledge, innovation and experimentation and sharing of creativity, products and solutions.

Mr. Dobromir Ivanov said that Bulgaria is already recognized as a leader in the region in the development of projects and startups and that the environment here is very favorable for that. Behind every good idea there is always a person or a community of people to support it, because the success of one company attracts many other investors to our country and leads to the success of other companies, which illustrates the so-called "Connectivity".

In the past year, "Lozen Tech Park" EOOD signed Memorandums of Cooperation with several universities. The purpose of this partnership with the Bulgarian academic community is to contribute to the modernization and development of technologies in the construction sector, giving a chance to young talented, ambitious and prosperous students and specialists to come forward and realize their ideas.
